Sara M. Barrere Memorial Trust Scholarship Fund

Lifelong philanthropist and generous donor to Southern State and Highland County organizations, Sara (Sally) Barrere loved to read and loved to travel. As she battled Parkinson's disease, she shared her experiences abroad with health care providers and nurses, many of whom were educated and trained at Southern State. Upon her death, she generously established a trust to help Southern State students further their education.
